A tele-doctor consult is a booked appointment with a partner doctor over a call or video link, so an older person can get medical advice without travelling. It suits follow-ups and non-emergency questions. It is not suitable for emergencies: call 108.

Who tele-doctor consult is for

  • Seniors with regular follow-ups who find travel tiring
  • Families who want a doctor's view on a new symptom that is not an emergency
  • Members of ServQ Healthcare plans that include tele-doctor access

What is included

  • Booking a slot with a partner doctor
  • Sending the consult link before the appointment
  • Recording consent for the consult
  • Letting the home nurse or attendant help the patient get ready for the call

What it does not include

  • Handle emergencies. Chest pain, trouble breathing, stroke signs, serious injury or unconsciousness need 108 or the nearest hospital now
  • Guarantee a prescription: that is the doctor's decision
  • Sell medicines

Who provides it

Consults are provided by partner doctors. ServQ Healthcare arranges the booking and does not practise medicine itself.

Common questions

When should I not use a tele-doctor consult?

Never for an emergency. If there is chest pain, difficulty breathing, face drooping, slurred speech, weakness on one side, a serious fall or head injury, confusion with fever, or very low sugar, call 108 or go to the nearest hospital immediately.

Which doctors are available?

Doctors are partners of ServQ Healthcare. The list of specialities will be shown when you book. [DOCTOR PARTNER DETAILS]

Do I need a smartphone?

A phone or computer that can open a link is enough. A family member or our nurse or attendant can help an older person join.

In an emergency, call 108 (ambulance) or go to the nearest hospital. ServQ Healthcare supports planned and ongoing care at home. It is not an emergency service.
