Home nursing means a qualified nurse comes to your home to give care that a doctor has advised, such as injections, wound dressing, catheter care and checking blood pressure, pulse, oxygen and sugar. ServQ Healthcare sends registered nurses whose credentials we review before they join.

Who home nursing is for

  • Someone recovering after surgery or a hospital stay who needs dressings or injections
  • An older person who finds it hard to travel to a clinic for regular checks
  • Families who live in another city and want a trained person to check on a parent
  • People who need a doctor-prescribed IV drip or injection given safely at home

What is included

  • Injections as prescribed by a doctor
  • IV drip on a doctor's prescription (never a first dose at home)
  • Wound care and dressings
  • Catheter care
  • Vitals: blood pressure, pulse, oxygen, sugar, temperature
  • Giving medicines exactly as prescribed, and recording that they were given

What it does not include

  • Change a medicine dose or start a new treatment (only your doctor can)
  • Start a first dose of an IV medicine at home
  • Act as an ambulance or emergency service: call 108

Who provides it

Nurses must hold a nursing council registration, which we review at onboarding and again every year.

Common questions

Do I need a doctor's prescription for a nurse visit?

For injections, IV drips and any prescribed medicine, yes: the nurse follows your doctor's written instructions. For routine vitals checks and general nursing support a prescription is not always needed. Our team will tell you what to keep ready when you book.

Can a nurse start an IV drip at home?

Only on a doctor's prescription, and ServQ Healthcare does not give a first dose of an IV medicine at home, because a first dose can cause a reaction that needs hospital care.

How do I know the nurse at my door is the right person?

Each visit is confirmed with a one-time code (OTP) that you share with the nurse at the start and end of the visit. Ask to see the nurse's ID card if you wish.

In an emergency, call 108 (ambulance) or go to the nearest hospital. ServQ Healthcare supports planned and ongoing care at home. It is not an emergency service.
