Physiotherapy at home in Jaipur: what to expect

For many older people, getting to a clinic is the hardest part of recovery. Physiotherapy at home removes that step.

Physiotherapy at home in Jaipur means a registered physiotherapist visits for an assessment and a planned series of sessions. It helps after surgery, a fracture, a fall or a stroke, and with stiffness and balance problems. Progress depends on the person, and no outcome can be promised.

Who benefits

  • People recovering from a hip, knee or spine operation
  • Older people after a fall, to rebuild confidence and balance
  • Stroke recovery, with the doctor's approval
  • Anyone who cannot easily travel to a clinic

What the first session looks like

The physiotherapist asks about history, looks at how your parent moves, and sets simple goals. Please keep discharge summaries and reports ready, and mention heart conditions and recent surgery.

Preparing a Jaipur home

  • Clear a space with a firm chair and a few metres of walking room
  • In a multi-storey house, tell the physiotherapist about stairs so they can teach safe use
  • Keep water ready, and in the hot months ask for early-morning sessions
  • Have a family member present for the first visit if possible
